Prayer Melodies

Here are some melodies that we have taught in our prayer classes or borrowed from learned colleagues (especially Cantor Perry Fine). Acquaint yourself with them, and use them to enhance your participation or (even!) in leading services!

Perry Fine’s “Friday Night Live” — a medley of Shabbat melodies

Kol Rina Melodies for Musaf — class rehearsal of melodies for the Musaf Service

Prayer Sheet Music — if you read sheet music, this will help you with the Shabbat Musaf melodies

Kol Rina High Holy Day Melodies — from our rehearsals with Cantor Eliana Kissner

Prayer Scripts — outlines for helping you to lead services

Siddur Road Map — this will help you find the corresponding pages from one siddur to another!

Hebrew Handouts

Here are some materials that have been used in Kol Rina classes and services that you may wish to consult or download for your own learning!

Hebrew Grammar Handouts — includes Len Levin’s Guideposts to Hebrew Grammar, and other valuable aids

High Holy Day Supplement — Readings and songs that enrich the High Holy Day services (you may also use these in conjunction with the audio tracks under Holiday Melodies)

Tu Bishvat Seder — a special kabbalistic-inspired, eco-conscious service commemorating the New Year of Trees

Tisha B’Av Supplement — poems and dirges for the Fast in commemoration of the tragedies of Jewish history

Words of Torah

Each week & on holidays our members contribute to services with meaningful thought provoking words of Torah-Divrei Torah.
