Every Shabbat and holiday we offer lay-led traditional/egalitarian services at our home on the second level of 60 Valley Street in South Orange. Our services are warm, friendly gatherings in which everyone participates to his or her ability. Whether you’re there to lead davening (prayer), to read Torah or Haftara, to deliver a d’var Torah or d’var t’fila (Torah or prayer commentary), to join in singing, to let the spirit of Shabbat wash over you, or simply to shmooze with your friends, you’re a valued part of our community.
We invite you to join us at 9:45am every Shabbat morning for services followed by a pot-luck dairy/vegetarian kiddush. Feel free to bring with you anyone you think would find this a positive and uplifting way to celebrate Shabbat and to be involved in the community. People of all backgrounds, ages, and skill level are welcome.
